Artist Talk: Asli Narin-Interconnectedness And Nature

Sunday, April 2 at 11am Pacific - Virtual Event

In this artist talk, Asli Narin will talk about her recent solo exhibition project, inspired by her nature walks and bodily disconnectedness from family and friends during the pandemic. The process of the exhibition turned into a healing activity where the artist took her experimentations with the cyanotype medium further and produced a video work that she created with the participation of friends and family from around the world. These efforts of connection-making from images and people led to her ongoing project, "Hand In Hand," which is fictitious work about her ancestral history and the cycle of immigration in her family.
