Free Student Memberships

Medium Photo offers a limited number of free, one-year student memberships every year. Student members receive complimentary access to our Keynote Lecture, invitations to events year-round, discounts on educational workshops and ticketed events, bi-monthly film screenings, group critiques, and special discounts at San Diego based businesses specializing in photography.

The scholarship is open to full time students enrolled in college level degree granting programs. Submissions are free and accepted until all are awarded, with an emphasis on students who show a dedicated interest in photography as a fine art. Free student memberships are funded by Group f.16 and Patron Level members of Medium Photo.

The application process is simple, outlined below.

Submissions

Full time students are invited to apply, submitting the following:

• 5 jpegs of your original photography, sized at 2000px

• A statement of approximately 100 words outlining your interest in photography

Submissions are completed by email, sent as a pdf or .zip file to info@mediumphoto.org. Submissions are reviewed monthly until all available memberships have been awarded.
