The Medium Festival of Photography and Dr. Stephen and Sandra Dorros welcome Luis González Palma and guests to their home in Rancho Santa Fe for a special fundraiser dinner. Supporting the Keynote Lecture and future programming for Medium Photo, this intimate event allows guests an opportunity to enjoy a Tuscan themed dinner with Luis González Palma, visiting San Diego from his home in Cordova, Argentina.

Dinner in Rancho Santa Fe

Our evening with Luis González Palma takes place on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 6:00 - 9:00pm.

A tuscan themed dinner prepared by executive chef Stefano Ruffini from Piazza 1909 will begin with a Prosecco welcome to celebrate the artist. At 6:30pm we will be welcomed by Medium Photo’s executive director Scott B. Davis, followed by a dinner with Luis González Palma and guests. The dinner will include four courses with Italian wines and exquisite desserts to close the evening. Vegetarian / vegan options are available upon request.

Proceeds from the evening are 100% tax-deductible and support Medium Photography, Inc. Dr. Dorros serves on the board of directors for Medium Photo and has generously offered to support this important evening.

Keynote Lecture

Dinner guests receive reserved seating and an invitation to the VIP reception and the 2019 keynote lecture with Luis González Palma, beginning at 5:30pm on Friday, October 18. The reception and lecture are hosted at the historic Lafayette Hotel in North Park, where curators, emerging artists, and guest lecturers welcome the 2019 festival and begin a weekend of inspired events supporting fine art photography. The keynote lecture begins promptly at 7:00pm.

Solo Exhibition: Constructed Mythologies

The SDSU Downtown Gallery presents the first survey exhibition of Luis González Palma on the west coast, with an opening reception from 5:00-8:00pm on Thursday, Oct. 17. Selections of Luis’ work from the Dorros’ collection will be included in the exhibition, along with works spanning more than 20 years of the artist’s career.

Parking is available for $5 after 5:00pm at One American Plaza. The gallery website has detailed information and a map to locate the parking garage.
