Second Sight lecture with Mariel Miranda

Our annual Second Sight Award is presented to one of our participating Review photographers, based on nominations from reviewers. Each curator, editor, and gallerist at Medium’s annual Review nominates three artists whose work explores new creative avenues and whose ability to speak about their work supports enriched understanding of it. The Second Sight Award recipient participates in our Group f.16 fine print program and presents the first lecture in our annual artist lecture series on the third Saturday in October. The 2019 Second Sight Award is given to Mariel Miranda, who will present a lecture at 9:30am on Saturday, October 19.

Lecture with Louie Palu

His work has appeared in publications ranging from The New York Times to Al Jazeera, and is in museum collections ranging from the George Eastman House to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and many others. Louie will present a lecture about his work at 11:00am on Saturday, October 19 and will present a special workshop in conjunction with the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
